Meet the Nintendo Wii U controller that works with your Android phone too!

Is this the holy grail of gamepads? The Pro Controller U is a clever new, all singing, all dancing controller that doesn’t just work with two generations of Nintendo consoles – it hooks up to your smartphone too.
As Nintendo Wii U and Wii add-ons go, the Pro Controller U is pretty smart. One switch toggles it between use as a Wii Remote with motion control that you can swing, and a classic controller for games where you just need the edge that dual thumbsticks give you. Its smart design fits in an old-school style SNES controller layout, and twin joysticks and shoulder buttons for more modern games.
That’s not bad for $39.99 (Just £26), but it gets better. Because it connects via Bluetooth, it’ll also work with your Android smartphone too so you can game on the go. Sure, you could wait for Project Shield, which packs in a screen and PC game streaming too, but it’ll cost a whole lot more – and as we’ve shown you, there are apps to do just that already.
Like what you see? The Pro Controller U is available to order now from ThinkGeek.
