New regulations concerning GPS cell phone tracking will make you more secure especially during emergencies. Under new FCC regulations (E911) all new cell phones must have a GPS chip installed during manufacturing. This allows the local 911 dispatcher to access your location during any emergency. This technology has already saved numerous lives. In addition it has help law enforcement agencies to track and arrest criminal suspects. In addition many manufactures have designed their phones to allow the user to use the phone for navigation. However GPS cell phone tracking technology is not without its critics.

Many people feel the new GPS cell phone tracking technology is another intrusion into their privacy. FCC regulations generally prohibit anyone from accessing your cell phone information including your GPS tracking information. Even law enforcement agencies are required to have a judicial warrant to access your GPS cell phone tracking data. However, there are several new companies that have begun to provide Private GPS cell phone tracking information on any cell phone user. The legality of these services is a much debated issue. State laws often have in some cases restricted these services. Private investigators, bail bond agents and friend of the court personnel are the most common customers for this service. Obviously there is the possibility of misuse of this information by stalkers and other criminals. Some people have refused to upgrade their phones in order to keep their phone location information private.

The new GPS cell phone tracking technology allows the phone company and 911 dispatchers to accurate locate your cell phone to less 100 feet in most outdoor environments however if you live and work within the deep canyons of an urban setting the accuracy will be degraded to 300 feet or more. Buildings that do not allow good cell phone coverage will obviously prevent cell phone tracking. In addition if are located within area that blocks cell phone service. Recently a woman lost control of her car while on our local interstate ending up deep within the heavily treed median. She was trapped in the vehicle but was able to call 911 for assistance. Unfortunately she was unable to tell the dispatcher exactly where she was. State troopers and sheriff deputies spent time looking for her but her vehicle was not visible from the Interstate. Fortunately dispatch was able to access the GPS cell phone tracking information for her phone. Troopers were able to locate exactly where she was located and she was extricated from here vehicle and taken to the local hospital.

Despite all the privacy concerns, the new GPS cell phone tracking capability is a valuable tool for emergency responders and law enforcement personnel. Hopefully law makers will monitor the use of this technology to make sure that the ability to abuse this valuable technology is limited. However we certainly hope that they do not make laws that prevent private citizens from using this valuable tool to track their own privately owned phones. Sony Yuga gets an official name will be the Xperia Z

Leaks concerning Sony‘s smartphone codenamed Yuga have been fairly regular, with a progressively larger array of images and specs appearing online over the least few months. Now another rumor has entered the fray, this one concerning the Yuga’s official name: Xperia Z. So says one source who has provided accurate information in the past.


On November 7, several images said to be the Sony Yuga appeared on the German website Android Schweiz, showing off different angles of the phone’s display and body. Then, on December 18, the Yuga appeared again, this time on the Russian website Mobile Review, which claimed to have a prototype of the handset, which it reviewed in detail.
The latest rumor surfaced over on Xperia Blog via the source UnknownX, who is known to have posted accurate leaks in the past on the XDA forums. According to the source, the Yuga will be officially called the Xperia Z, and will feature a chassis that is both dust and water resistant. The handset’s final size is said to be 139mm x 71mm x 7.9mm.
The handset is said to feature a 5-inch 1080p display at 443ppi, which the source says utilizes OptiContrast technology, something found in both the Xperia V and Xperia Tablet S. The Yuga/Xperia Z is said to feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 320 GPU, as well as a 12-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 4.0. It runs Android 4.2.

Android 5 0 Key Lime Pie will release this spring according to Qualcomm leak

A few days ago, one of Qualcomm‘s roadmaps leaked all over the Internet before getting pulled after Android Police, which first reported on it, got a nastygram over copyright infringement. While the original leak showed some sensitive information about Qualcomm, new information from the leaked slides has appeared, pointing to a spring release of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.


Both sources familiar with the matter and multiple reports have stated that the leaked Qualcomm slides contain information about it and Google’s plans over the coming months. Among the plans is a spring 2013 K-release of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. The mobile operating system itself is also detailed in the leaks.
Of course, while it is nice to get confirmation, this isn’t the most surprising batch of information to ever leak. Google’s upcoming I/O event is when new iterations of Android are announced, and nothing had suggested that wouldn’t be the case for Key Lime Pie. The event will take place on May 15 through 17.
Whether the leaked information was taken down because of the Google materials it contained, or because of the Qualcomm data (or perhaps both) is unknown. If the quick suppression of the leaks indicate anything, though, it is that the information they contained is true – companies don’t often go to such efforts to eradicate leaks that contain false info, after all.

Analyst Next iPhone iPad Mini to Launch in September

While most rumors indicate that Apple will unveil the next iPhone in October, an analyst today said the highly anticipated smartphone could make its debut a month earlier.
"Looking forward to an exciting September from Apple," analyst Brian White with Topeka Capital Markets, wrote in a note to clients Monday following a round of meeting with his contacts in Taipei. "Regarding the widely anticipated iPhone 5, we believe a September launch is more likely than October."
Even better — the Cupertino tech giant will launch its sixth-generation iPhone alongside the much talked-about "iPad mini," White predicted. Recent rumors indicate that the scaled-down iPad will measure in at 7 inches, and be priced competitively at around $200 to $250.
On the next-gen iPhone front, White said he "gathered more data points" supporting hisearlier prediction that the coveted device will have a unibody frame, which he believes will be manufactured by Hon Hai Precision, and another company. However, he put into question rumors that the body of the next iPhone will made of a super-tough alloy called Liquidmetal.
"Our contact was skeptical around the plethora of news stories highlighting Liquidmetal Technologies potential involvement in the iPhone 5," White wrote.
Meanwhile, some have speculated that Apple could unveil the next iPhone as early as next week at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco. But dont get your hopes up. Apple didnt unveil the iPhone 4S until last October, and most rumors claim the tech giant is planning to keep a similar timeframe for the launch of its next iPhone.
The next-gen iPhone is largely expected to sport a larger, 4-inch screen. Other persistent rumors indicate that the phone will be about 20 percent thinner than its predecessor, with a metal backside, and smaller dock connector.
As for what Apple has up its sleeve for WWDC, rumors point to a revamped iCloud,Facebook integration with iOS 6, and a 3D mapping solution, among other things. PCMag will be at WWDC, which kicks off June 11, so stay tuned for all the details.

A thinnner, lighter iPad mini-esque iPad 5 to arrive in March? Speculation out of Japan suggests the next-gen Apple tablet is already close to launch
Just because its Christmas Eve, doesnt mean were taking our eye of the ball when it comes to bringing you spurious Apple rumours. This time, a Japanese site has tipped the iPad 5 for an unfathomably early March 2013 launch.
Japanese site Macotakara reckons that the next-generation 9.7-inch slate will receive a design overhaul, taking inspiration from the recent iPad mini launch, in time for spring.
That would mean a thinner, lighter design, according to the sites sources.
The post read: "According to my inside source, iPad(5th) may be released in March, 2013. Source told that, design of this new iPad will be like iPad mini in detail, and be thinner and lightweight. (The expectation comes to have a small 4mm in height, 17mm in width, depth 2mm)."
Those dimensions dont really seem too realistic and neither does the launch date, considering Apple only updated the iPad in October this year, and previously in March 2013.
Launching three 9.7-inch iPad models in the same 12-month period would be a brazen move by Apple, and would surely upset customers who so recently splashed out on a brand new model.
However if the company has the tech in place to launch in March and stay ahead of the ever-improving Android crowd, then perhaps the iPad 5 is only a couple of months away after all.

Sesuai namanya, smartphone ini terbilang kecil lagi ringkas. Walau ukurannya hanya 88 x 52 x 16 mm, Sony Ericsson tidak melupakan sisi estetika. Ia terlihat stylish dengan pilihan warna serba hitam atau putih. Selain kedua pilihan tadi, Xperia Mini juga tersedia dalam warna hitam-biru, dan hitam-pink. Berbeda dengan Xperia Mini pro, ia tidak dilengkapi keypad qwerty yang bersembunyi di belakang layar. Namun mengetik dengan keyboard virtual Xperia Mini masih tetap mulus berkat layarnya.

Berbicara soal layar, Xperia Mini memilih layar capacitive 3 inchi dengan kedalaman 16 juta warna. Kualitas layar, walau belum setingkat retina display, sangat bagus. Tingkat kecerahannya sempurna, dan tidak memantulkan cahaya walau dibawah cahaya matahari sekalipun. Layar ini juga diberkahi dengan Sony Bravia Engine untuk tampilan foto dan video di layar.

Tombol yang tersemat di penjuru tubuh Xperia Mini memudahkan penggunaannya. Di bagian atas seperti biasa akan ada tombol daya, sedang di bagian kanannya ada pengatur volume dan shutter kamera berbahan metalik. Tombol home di muka smartphone diapit oleh dua soft key yang berfungsi sebagai ‘return’ dan tombol ‘opsi’.

Untuk mengedit atau membaca file word, excel maupun PDF, Sony Ericsson menyiapkan Office Suite. Anda harus upgrade ke Office Suite pro untuk membuat dokumen.

Kinerja :
Xperia Mini secara keseluruhan tampil baik. Fungsinya sebagai perangkat komunikasi bisa diandalkan, termasuk melakukan SMS, Email maupun MMS. Begitupun dengan fungsi pemutar musik, browsing dengan HTML browser khas Android, dan multimedia player. Awalnya kami sedikit sangsi dengan layarnya yang ekstra kecil. Ternyata itu bukan masalah, karena sensitifitas sentuhan, juga kualitas layar Xperia mini diatas rata-rata. Menurut data yang ada, smartphone ini dalam jaringan 3G mampu siaga hingga 340 jam dan bekerja non stop hingga 4 jam.
