The next version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could well feature a 6.3-inch screen judging from an official accessory launched today
Samsung has released a range of new accessories to compliment its latest flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S4. And in doing so, the Korean company could have let slip some intriguing information about the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
One of the accessories is an official Bluetooth game controller - letting you play games on your phone with physical buttons.
The cleverly-named Samsung Game Pad is listed on the companys new micro site and will fit Samsung devices with screen sizes between 4 and 6.3-inches.
While Samsung doesnt currently make a device with a 6.3-inch screen this could well be a pre-emptive design that factors in an upcoming Galaxy Note refresh.
This seems further confirmation of the rumour we heard back in December 2012 that the next Galaxy Note would arrive with a 6.3-inch screen.
Despite being anchored with the dreadful "phablet" label, the 5.5-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has sold well and a sequel is almost certainly on the cards. Whether were prepared to jump up to a 6.3-inch screen - practically a small tablet - remains to be seen.
The Game Pad itself does look a pretty nifty bit of kit, with dual analogue sticks, two shoulder keys and four action buttons. Its almost like Samsung has crossbred an Xbox 360 controller with an old SNES pad.

Samsung Electronics has partnered with Vodafone to launch its Android 2.3-powered Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone in India. The dual-core smartphone includes access to Samsungs three new content and entertainment hubs, integrated to provide instant access to games, e-reading and social networking services. The smartphone comes equipped with an 8MP camera and camcorder with 1080p full HD recording and playback. With Samsungs patented AllShare technology, customers can capture, create and then share their experiences hassle-free.According to market requirement, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is able to incorporate near field communication (NFC) technology to support emerging mobile payment service and other services with mobile operators.
Announcing the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S2 model, Ranjit Yadav, country head, Samsung Mobile and IT, stated at a press event in Delhi, "Galaxy S2 is a natural and powerful evolution of Galaxy S. Building on the phenomenal success of the original Samsung Galaxy S, we are proud to unveil the ultimate smartphone. Consumers no longer have to contain themselves – the Samsung Galaxy S2 allows them to design their own smart lives. In 2011, we will take Samsungs leadership in speed, screen and content to a whole new level.
